4 Tips For Penetrating A Crowded Niche
It seems to be the trend of many internet marketing trainers to encourage you to enter a low-competition niche. That can work in many instances but if you really want to go after the big money, you’re going to find yourself in one of the BIG niches and the level of competition might be discouraging.
Here are 4 tips for penetrating a crowded niche.
1. Don’t focus on the amount of competition
One of the biggest reasons why people fail in a crowded niche is because they obsess over the amount of competition they’re facing. Don’t even think about it! Focus on creating compelling, quality content and that alone can make you stand above the rest.
Just because there is a lot of competition doesn’t mean that it’s quality competition. There are billions of sites on the web and a majority of them are fluff sites that aren’t very good. It’s not too hard to create a quality site that is better than 75% of your “competition” right off the bat.
If you’re truly dedicated to entering a crowded niche, go out there and make a great site without focusing on making money at first. Make it the best it can be, something that you would want to visit, and you will please your visitors.
2. Start with a sub niche
Sometimes, it’s best to dominate a sub niche before you move on to the larger niche. This way you can take a following with you when you branch out into the larger market. Additionally this will show you some initial success which can motivate you to continue and provide you with the funds to do so.
You don’t always have to go full speed for the big prize. Get some little victories first and it will be a lot easier.
3. Never let up
It’s going to take you a lot of work to become profitable in a big niche but it’s not impossible. One fatal mistake that can kill you in the long run is if you start to ease up and lessen your efforts once you start seeing an impact.
Just because you are starting to make some headway doesn’t mean the rest is smooth sailing. Keep at it and you will power past the competition. In the long run your competition isn’t going to let up so you shouldn’t either.
4. Create a community
Engage with your visitors! This is one of the best ways to market a website and many people forget that! What better way to get the word out about your website than to have satisfied visitors spread the word for you. By creating a community you can grow to levels beyond any that you could accomplish with just SEO or link building alone.
